Compliance/New Entrant
Did you know that getting your USDOT number and provisional operating authority only guarantees your operation a few months? New motor carriers must undergo a new entrant safety audit within 12 months -- possibly in as few as 3 months (49 CFR 385.307). You must show you understand and are complying with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49 CFR 385.311). Plus, commit any one of 16 violations, and you automatically fail (49 CFR 385.321). If you fail, you could lose your ability to operate interstate in 60 days unless you correct the problems (49 CFR 385.319).
But don't worry. TransComply can help. Our Compliance/New Entrant package includes a comprehensive compliance manual and form templates that you can use to launch or fine-tune your compliance program and valuable tools to help make sure you are ready for your new entrant audit and remain compliant afterwards.
