OMB reviewing final drug clearinghouse rule
The Department of Transportation on May 20 sent a draft final rule to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) that would create a central database for verified positive controlled substances and alcohol test results for commercial driver´s license (CDL) holders. The database, which was mandated by the 2012 law known as MAP-21, also would record refusals by CDL-holding drivers to submit to testing. For more information, visit http://1.usa.gov/1PAG2IX.
